This tour offers visitors the chance to relive the magnificent history of the people who navigated Lake Titicaca, building their islands from the reeds that grow in the surrounding area. The locals are eager to share their experiences of life on a floating island.

The journey then continues to Taquile Island, where visitors can admire breathtaking landscapes and witness the lives of the locals, who preserve ancestral traditions such as the art of weaving.

ITINERARY:

• 7:10 AM: Pick-up from your hotel in Puno and transfer to the main Puno port, where we board a motorboat.
  Motorboat journey to the Uros Islands (30-minute trip).
• Arrival at the islands and meeting with the locals, who share their ancestral traditions with us.
  (Optional) Opportunity to take a ride on traditional reed boats across the crystal-clear waters of Lake Titicaca.
• Continue the journey to Taquile Island (1 hour 30 minutes).
  Arrival at the island and an uphill walk along the stone path leading to the village, where we meet the locals and see demonstrations of their weaving skills.
• Lunch is served at a local family’s home at midday.
• Afterwards, continue walking through diverse landscapes while interacting with the local people.
  Finally, arrive at the island’s port to board the boat back to Puno.
• 4:00 pm Arrival at the main Puno port and transfer to the city center.
