This Tour along the Aimara route takes you to explore the territory of the Aimara population that lives in the Andes located south of the City of Puno and discover the history, traditions, archeology and mystical places surrounded by impressive landscapes that envelop with magic and energy to every visitor looking for a mystical experience.
ITINERARY:
- 7:00am begins with the pick-up from your Hotel in Puno and travel to the Town of Chucuito (20Km), where you will visit the “Temple of Fertility” Inka Uyo. In this place you can see a great variety of stones carved with phallic shapes that are considered to have great energy power.
The natives of the place affirm that many people who want to get babies come to this Temple and perform rituals.
The ritual to be a mother must be carried out with coca leaves and wine or corn chicha that are offered to the main phallus, then the woman must sit on the phallus and finally pour the wine or chicha.
- 8:00am the trip continues to the archaeological site of Molloqo “Mallku Amaya” where there are monuments of a pre-Inca culture called Lupaca. In this place you can see several tall “Chullpas” Funerary Towers, some with cylindrical shapes and others with a square shape that were built based on stone during the pre-Hispanic period.
- 9:00am visit the ancient embankments known as “Waru waru”, an ancient agricultural technique developed in the pre-Inca period around Lake Titicaca. This technique consists of the construction of embankments with water channels that have the purpose of sheltering crops on freezing cold nights.
- 10:00am continues the trip to Wilka Uta or “Ajayu Marka” where there is an impressive and mystical place that is surrounded by whimsical formations of pink sandstone rock where the Inter-dimensional Portal of Aramu Muru is located, considered as a door that connects to other realities. Various rituals and ceremonies are carried out in the place in honor of Pachamama, the Apus and Mama Qocha.
- 11:30pm travel to the Town of Juli which houses 4 churches built in the Colonial period such as: The Church of San Pedro, San Juan de Letrán, Santa Cruz and La Asunción. During the visit you can enter the San Pedro Church, which contains oil paintings belonging to the Cusco school considered of great artistic value.
- 12:30pm the return transportation is boarded, arriving in Puno at approximately 2:00pm.
